Hello!

I have a really really big Problem. I explain my problem later in this message!

My Hardware:

HP Bladecenter c3000

4 x BL460c G6

8 x Flex HP NC542m Mezz

Interconnect

Bay1: Cisco Catalyst Blade Switch 3020 for HP

Bay2: Cisco Catalyst Blade Switch 3020 for HP

Bay3: HP BLc Flex-10 10Gb Virtual Connect Ethernet Modul (Firmware Version: 4.20)

My Configuration:

I want to use 2 x 1 Gbit (Interconnect Bay1) 2 x 1 Gbit (Interconnect Bay2) and 1 x 10Gbit (Interconnect Bay 3)

I have in 1 Blade Server 2 x Flex HP NC542m installed! in the another 3 Bladeserver the same installation! Magazine Port 1 HP NC542m and Magazine Port 2 HP NC542m

I work now on the issue 3 months! And the HP Level1 and Level2 and Level3 Support now 2 months. But with no Solution! Because this Configuration works under

Windows Server 2008 R2 without Issue with the Driver from HP Support Site!

But under CentOS 6.5 i have a big problem! When i install CentOs 6.5 and configure the network under the setup process i see eth0,eth1,eth2,eth3,eth4,eth5!

I give the IP Adress for example:

eth0: 192.168.10.170

eth1: 192.168.10.171

eth2: 192.168.10.172

eth3: 192.168.10.173

eth4: 192.168.10.174

eth5: 192.168.10.175

When i save the network Configuration i become this message:

Failed to activate these network interfaces: eth5

This is correct! Because in this Interconnect Configuration Bay1 and Bay2 (Cisco Catalyst Blade Switch 3020) and Bay 3 (HP BLc Flex-10 10Gb Virtual Connect Ethernet Modul)

is 4 x 1 Gbit and 1x 10 Gbit Support on both Magazinne HP NC542m Network cards.

When i install the latest driver from http://www.mellanox.com/page/mlnx_ofed_eula?mtag=linux_sw_drivers

(MLNX_OFED_LINUX-2.2-1.0.1-rhel6.5-x86_64.iso)

This is the resultat from the driver installation:

Device (06:00.0):

        06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Mellanox Technologies MT26468 [ConnectX EN 10GigE, PCIe 2.0 5GT/s Virtualization+] (rev b0)

        Link Width: 8x

        PCI Link Speed: 5Gb/s

Device (09:00.0):

        09:00.0 Ethernet controller: Mellanox Technologies MT26468 [ConnectX EN 10GigE, PCIe 2.0 5GT/s Virtualization+] (rev b0)

        Link Width: 8x

        PCI Link Speed: 5Gb/s

Device (09:00.1):

        09:00.1 Ethernet controller: Mellanox Technologies MT26468 [ConnectX EN 10GigE, PCIe 2.0 5GT/s Virtualization+] (rev b0)

        Link Width: 8x

        PCI Link Speed: 5Gb/s

I have installed this Firmware for the Network Cards:

http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?sp4ts.oid=4071722&spf_p.tpst=swdMain&spf_p.prp_swdMain=wsrp-navigationalState%3Didx%253D%257CswItem%253DMTX_e96811514b744036a5dabf2cdc%257CswEnvOID%253D4103%257CitemLocale%253D%257CswLang%253D%257Cmode%253D%257Caction%253DdriverDocument&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

But now my Problem is when i restart CentOS 6.5 all Ports are open/active! And when i ping 192.168.10.170-175 from my laptop i become  ping response on all ports! This is not correct! Because i have 1 active 10 Gbit Port! And not 2!!

The bigest problem is:

Port Mapping:

Bay1: Cisco Catalyst Blade Switch 3020 for HP (eth0 and eth1)

Bay2: Cisco Catalyst Blade Switch 3020 for HP (eth2 and eth3)

Bay3: HP BLc Flex-10 10Gb Virtual Connect Ethernet Modul (Firmware Version: 4.20) (eth4 and eth5)

When i power off the Cisco Catalyst on Bay1 all Ports are down!! I mean i cant ping eth0,eth1,eth2,eth3,eth4,eth5

This is not correct! When i power off Cisco Catalyst on Bay 1 then must be down eth0 and eth1! But not eth2,eth3,eth4,eth5!!

All network traffic goes over Bay1 (Cisco Catalyst)!!

HP Support says:

Now it is confirmed that 542Mezz Nic’s in Windows 2008 works fine in all the Bays.

We still see issues with Cent OS and now this looks to be OS specific.

I need really help! Please! Can anybody help me? .. because i lose every day money i have a contract with a cloud company and the cloud conpany cant install the cloud software because my Configuration problem..

The Cloud Company need CentOS 6.5 for the Hypervisior Server to start the installation..

-------

I need help! I dont know! I have test lot of drivers. New Drivers from mellanox and old drivers. I have test it on centos 6.5 / 6.4 and older version! I have make over 70 new installation of CentOS

Really i dont know, i cant work on it.. i am really angry.. its work under Windows Server 2008 R2 correct but under CentOS 6.5 not... please i need help!!
