Hi all,

We have an SX1024 and compute nodes with Chelsio T520-CR.

On the nodes this is the output of ethtool:

[root@comp13 ~]# ethtool eth2

Settings for eth2:

    Supported ports: [ ]

    Supported link modes:   10000baseT/Full

    Supported pause frame use: No

    Supports auto-negotiation: No

    Advertised link modes:  Not reported

    Advertised pause frame use: No

    Advertised auto-negotiation: No

    Speed: 10000Mb/s

    Duplex: Full

    Port: Direct Attach Copper

    PHYAD: 255

    Transceiver: external

    Auto-negotiation: off

    Supports Wake-on: bg

    Wake-on: d

    Current message level: 0x000000ff (255)

drv probe link timer ifdown ifup rx_err tx_err

    Link detected: yes

But when we try to ping hosts we get:

[root@comp13 ~]# ping -I eth2 172.20.1.17

PING 172.20.1.17 (172.20.1.17) from 172.20.1.16 eth2: 56(84) bytes of data.

From 172.20.1.16 icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable

From 172.20.1.16 icmp_seq=3 Destination Host Unreachable

From 172.20.1.16 icmp_seq=4 Destination Host Unreachable

From 172.20.1.16 icmp_seq=6 Destination Host Unreachable

From 172.20.1.16 icmp_seq=7 Destination Host Unreachable

From 172.20.1.16 icmp_seq=8 Destination Host Unreachable

^C

--- 172.20.1.17 ping statistics ---

8 packets transmitted, 0 received, +6 errors, 100% packet loss, time 7543ms

pipe 3

Does the switch require any license/firmware to be installed/updated? It's brand new and the web interface shows no errors..

Thanks,

Chrishas
