I am trying to setup a local network with Mellanox QDR Connectx2 router and HBA's with a windows 8.1 and linux Centos6 machine. I have a RAID on the windows side the locally tests around 900MB/s but accessing it over the IPoIB IB/CIFS from the linux side, I get 230MB/s (after following all the optimizations steps I found here:http://www.mellanox.com/related-docs/prod_software/Performance_Tuning_Guide_for_Mellanox_Network_Adapters_v1.6.pdf
The literature says that I should have closer to 3700MB/s, am I missing something? Is there another protocol I should be using? I am trying to link 5 computers on a small network to share storage connected to a windows machine that can deliver 1600MB/s so this seemed to fit the bill.
